Duarte & Bastos Ltda. was founded in 1989, in the city of Teófilo Otoni, state of Minas Gerais (Brazil's principal region for producing gemstones) by Alberto Lins Bastos and Marcio Duarte Lopes, experienced professionals in the sector of precious stones. Since it is also a mining company and controls its own mines, from which a large share of goods are extracted. Duarte & Bastos has been able over the years to offer its clients an extensive and varied stock at very competitive prices.
